The Issues

Invest in Ohio’s schools:

  • Help protect special education services in Ohio public schools

  • Fund public schools by utilizing the constitutionally mandated, bipartisan Fair School Funding Plan

  • Let’s relieve the tax burden on Ohio’s middle class and make the state responsible for fairly funding schools once again

  • Allow every child the opportunity to go to college at an affordable price

Reduce gun violence:

  • Stricter background checks

  • Fund mental health initiatives

  • Implement a statewide firearm “Buyback Program”

  • Support law enforcement and their role in stopping illegal firearms from entering Ohio

  • Get “ghost” guns off Ohio streets and work with gun manufacturers to stop providing illegal parts to build 3-D gun printers

Lower state property taxes for the middle class:

  • Prevent unvoiced property tax hikes

  • Reduce increasing millage due to inflation

  • Set new property reappraisal for every ten years instead of every six

  • Increase the Owner-Occupancy Credit from 2.5% to 5%

  • Have Ohio’s wealthy finally pay their fair share

  • Enact a property tax circuit breaker to protect homeowners and seniors on fixed incomes. When property taxes exceed a fair percentage of household income, the state refunds the difference

  • Restore accountability to state tax policy so the middle class is not bailing out the top 1% anymore

Make housing affordable again:

  • Increase the supply in housing in Cheviot, Delhi, Cleves, and more

  • Tax credits and lower interest rates for first time home buyers

  • Invest in building mixed-income, affordable housing units

  • Rent stabilization for seniors and low income residents

  • Reduce unnecessary barriers for building permits

  • Rental assistance programs for those potentially facing eviction

  • End homelessness in Ohio by investing in programs that reduce homelessness, with proper government oversight

Enact Ohio first policies:

  • Have Ohio cut ties with and divest from Israel

  • Pass an AI data center moratorium

  • Protect Ohio’s state parks and waterways

  • Increase how much the state gives to the State Share of Instruction so Ohio’s public colleges and universities can have affordable in-state tuition again

  • Invite manufacturing, clean jobs, infrastructure jobs, and small businesses to move back to Ohio through investment from the state and its partners

Decrease every day costs:

  • Implement more statewide Sales Tax Holidays

  • Prevent companies from price gouging on every day items like groceries and gasoline

  • Lower energy bills by supporting voluntary demand response programs and investing in clean energy sources

  • Enact a Corporate Employee Head Tax on businesses with more than 350 employees at a cost of $18 per employee

  • Call out how harmful Trump’s tariffs are on Ohio families

Protect democracy and end partisan politics:

  • Together, we can end identity politics and support new ideas that Columbus desperately needs

  • Protect voting rights for everyone and fight to keep our districts fair

  • Fight to keep elections in Ohio free and fair

Keeping the Westside healthy:

  • Provide seniors with reasonable health care options, affordable home health aides, and protect senior citizens’ right to stay in their home

  • Protect entitlement programs for all Ohioans such as Medicaid, SNAP, AND SSI

  • Eliminate food deserts and increase access to public transportation in western Hamilton County

  • Support clean air and water initiatives that protect our shared, beautiful planet

  • Support universal Pre-K and childcare for families

  • Support a single-payer healthcare plan for those who cannot afford private insurance; where the state uses local taxes and federal funds to pay doctors for services and patients do not pay deductibles or co-pays

Fight for disability rights:

  • Increase state funding and support for special education services in our public schools

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the inclusion and accommodation processes for state funded institutions and programs

  • Develop staffing plans for disability services months ahead of beginning a program

  • Improve oversight and monitoring of educational institutions via the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce

  • Improve jobs programs for Ohio residents with disabilities

  • Fight for better healthcare and monthly benefits for Ohio’s disabled veterans

  • Work with local disability advocates and families to improve Ohio’s IDEA law and give families the at-home support they need

Increase transparency and decrease corruption:

  • Work on both sides of the aisle to fight for the best interests of Westsiders

  • Host monthly town hall meetings and an institute an open door policy

  • Expose “back room'“ Columbus dealings and end “board room” politics

  • Stop corruption like the First Energy scandal from happening ever again in our state

  • Support and protect whistleblowers within state government

  • Protect free and fair elections by conducting regular audits of the Ohio Secretary of State’s office and county board of elections. Investigate every claim of fraud to make sure our elections stay free and fair

  • Bring a vote to the floor to call for the full release of the “Epstein Files” and hold all legislators who have taken money from Epstein co-conspirators accountable

Invest in the Westside:

  • Prioritize key infrastructure projects for the Westside such as building new schools, fixing pot holes, and keeping our parks safe and clean

  • Work to bring new small businesses to our vital business corridors

  • Support small businesses through tax incentives for hiring disadvantaged workers

  • Promote public safety through supporting law enforcement and community organization efforts

  • Bring jobs programs to the Westside and invite ethical companies to invest in our neighborhoods

  • Fight for workers rights’ and the right to collective bargaining
